Job Description White Knight Lawyers is a growing award winning Australian law firm that offers premium litigation, transactional, and advisory legal services. We generally practice in litigation and dispute resolution, insolvency and bankruptcy, tax controversy, commercial law and advisory, public law and construction law. We are currently engaged in diverse ongoing litigation work including proceedings before the Supreme Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, Federal Court of Australia, Administrative Appeals Tribunal, and NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (both original jurisdiction and appeal panel). Available Role This is an unpaid position with prospects of gaining employment with us. It offers practical legal training to a recent law graduate or PLT student. Responsibilities
- Attending client meetings and court hearings and taking minutes and file notes respectively.
- Assisting in preparation of internal processes, procedures, policies, guidelines and protocols.
- Assisting in preparation of precedent documents and checklists.
- Drafting publications and legal updates on topical legal issues across a wide range of areas of law.
- Performing legal research and drafting research memorandums.
- Drafting statements of claim, affidavits, and other forms and processes.
- Administrative assistance including file management, diary maintenance, and office management. About You You must be committed to establishing a career in commercial private legal practice and have a keen interest in litigation and dispute resolution.
