Role Overview For over 11 years, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 100 fully featured services to millions of active customers worldwide—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—to power their infrastructure. The Business and Product Operations (BPO) team is a diverse group that supports infrastructure and foundational initiatives across Sales (AWS Qualified Services), Marketing, and Support teams within AWS. We are looking for a Contract Specialist to support AWS Professional Services, both in the public and commercial sectors, and AWS Legal by drafting ProServe Orders (PSOs), Work Orders (WO), and Work Order Amendments (WOAs) to support AWS Professional Services in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region during the contract creation and drafting process. This unique role combines functions similar to a business operations analyst and a contract analyst. We seek a motivated self-starter who is passionate about contracts, has strong attention to detail, and possesses contract drafting skills that allow them to work autonomously and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Key Job Responsibilities
- Own the contracting process: create documentation, gather and validate approvals, track status, and facilitate communication between key stakeholders.
- Identify scope and delivery risks and ensure policy compliance.
- Engage with ICON, the global BPO team, senior stakeholders, and business partners in the APJ region.
- Draft key commercial contract terms within PSOs, WOs, and WOAs.
- Communicate daily with cross‑functional teams including Sales, Legal, Operations, and Management.
- Identify and assist in implementing operational improvements and enhancements that meet business requirements.
- Participate in ICON projects for continuous improvement.
- Become the contract‑creation subject‑matter expert. A Day In The Life
- Lead contract drafting of PSOs, WOs, and WOAs.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on operations, contracts, and policies across the end‑to‑end contract workflow.
- Liaise daily with business partners to ensure SOWs meet project deliverables, contract and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the APJ ICON team and the broader global ICON team to identify and simplify policy and process improvements. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience communicating results to operations and business leaders.
- Experience with financial contracts and comfort with contractual language.
- Experience reviewing and drafting contract terms in technology licensing and service contracts, or a broad range of standard commercial contracts. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or knowledge of cloud computing and existing cloud technologies.
- Experience working within a high‑growth technology company.
