Insurance (Strata) - Associate (Sydney)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate or junior Senior Associate to join our busy Sydney, Insurance (Strata) practice. Mutual trust and respect are at the heart of everything we do. The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join our Sydney Insurance team. This role will see you acting for insurers in strata insurance related litigation and will involve a broad range of plaintiff and defendant litigation work, including:
- Defending statutory liability and personal injury claims
- Preparing and advising on matters involving subrogated recovery
- Appearing in the NSW District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, as appropriate to experience
- Appearing in, and running matters to completion in, NCAT
- Managing litigated matters from commencement through to resolution, including having day to day carriage
- Liaising directly with insured, insurer and underwriter clients and providing clear, timely and commercial advice
- Preparing matters for hearing, including drafting pleadings, submissions and evidence
- ngaging with counsel, experts, and other stakeholders as required Who We Are Looking For You will have between 3-5 years of experience within litigation. The ideal candidate will have a professional approach and excellent communication skills, with a client service focus. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks, display initiative, and have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines.
