Head Foreperson / Operations Manager Biddaddaba

Newington Farm is seeking a highly self-motivated Foreperson / Operations Manager. You must have prior experience in a thoroughbred racing stable and / or Breaking operation and be competent with all aspects of the care of racehorses and staff management.

Salary is highly competitive for the right applicant. Accommodation is available on farm.

Duties include:

Managing the day-to-day tasks required for a stable of horses in training;

Providing leadership, direction & support to stable & farm staff on operational and training activity/requests;

Management and coordination of stable staff, including staff management & assisting in rostering;

Administering treatments;

Work with stable vets/ farriers to manage the ongoing welfare of horses, both in training and spelling

Requirements;

Outstanding people & communications skills

Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a secure barn and team;

Experience and confidence in handling and educating horses;

Capacity to work with technology, including reliable management systems and Excel

Knowledge of occupational health & safety protocols and best stable practices.
