**Job Description**: The forecasting analyst will develop analyses and models based on complex technical, operational, economic and statistical data to solve forecasting and inventory challenges for an agricultural and construction equipment aftermarket department. The result will be a forecast across 200,000+ SKUs and $100M+ annual spend providing the basis for meeting our service level commitment to our customers. The forecasting analyst will aid in developing innovative strategies, to achieve a set target for forecast accuracy and manage all processes related to forecast management functions and quantify the competitive performance of the organization's operations and/or markets and evaluate the potential impact of changes.
- Analyzes historical demand and market information on 200,000+ SKUs using business software packages and statistical software tools and develops statistical and mathematical models to predict future outcomes, improve inventory optimization, and multi-echelon forecast accuracy.
- Lead and manage the Sales & Operations Process reviews by sharing, collaborating and integrating market intelligence across multi-departmental echelons (i.e Wholegoods, Product Support, Sales and Marketing, Product Developmental Representatives) as well as across other regions globally; Develop detailed work instructions for depot associates as applicable; Result of plan will support the $250M+ revenue targets
- Improve business profitability by identifying and implementing forecasting strategies to prevent low stock, out of stock and surplus/obsolete inventory. Work with a cross-functional team to validate requests, determine how to manage product launches, substitutions, discontinued parts.
- Collates, models, interprets and analyzes data; explains variances, seasonality and trends. Communicates business data and improvements with other areas within the business function
- Collects, analyzes and reports data to support decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues related to forecasting and support inventory functions. Assist the Materials team with All Time Buy requests.
- Develop reports for management on the overall performance of business segments and develops metrics to measure various characteristics of inventory.
We are looking for someone that meets the below:
- Understanding of forecasting, stocking, replenishment and logistics processes, preferably in a distribution or service parts setting rather than manufacturing.
- Experience in Blue Yonder forecasting suite preferred
- Solid Agricultural and Construction product knowledge
- Experience managing inventory, including reducing surplus.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting procedures, including calculating depreciation.
- Strong analytical background and process flow mentality.
- Skill using Microsoft office suite and Visio.
- APICS certification, preferred
- Financial and inventory experience a plus
Desired skills
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply chain or related field with 2+ years of experience in Materials/Inventory management
- or with 5+ years of experience in Materials/Inventory management
