This role will be to support and manage the team with labouring duties associated with general maintenance activities, to ensure the aged care home is always looking and operating at its very best.Responsibilities IncludeWork as part of a energetic team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenanceWork to established best practise and maintain homes to the highest standardWorking in a Busy team environment with no day the sameWorking alongside contractors where relevant, ensuring all work carried out to compliance requirementsCarrying out General maintenance and repairs; this may include patching & painting, replacing globes and all aspects of basic building maintenanceEnsuring all paperwork, documentation and system processes are adhered toPreferred AttributesPrevious experience in a maintenance role, aged care preferable but not necessaryStrong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail & excellent communication skillsA current NSW driver's licenseComputer skillsAbility to interact with the elderly residents on a day to day basisIt is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
