- Serves as a Road Safety Hero and a familiar face around the school, ensuring the safety of children, parents, teachers, and local motorists.
- Supervises school crossings for St Joseph’s Primary School, covering 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, Monday to Friday.
- Provides 20 hours of supervising per fortnight during school zone hours (8:15–9:15 AM and 2:30–3:30 PM).
- Maintains effective communication, remains alert to potential dangers, and works reliably in all weather conditions. Qualifications and requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Prepared to work in any weather and be punctual.
- Will obtain a Working with Children Check, reference checks, police check, and health assessment (previously holding the Working with Children Check is advantageous). Advantages:
- Hourly rate of $26.43 with superannuation included.
- Compensation during school holidays (Terms 1–3).
