- Full time band 4 salary from $75,802.48 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO
- Casual hourly rate $47.95

**Location**:

- Full time role Tarneit based
- Casual positions will be required to work across multiple locations throughout the Wyndham municipality

**About the role**

Wyndham City has an exciting opportunity for experienced and passionate customer service professionals, with a community-focussed outlook, to assist with the day-to-day operations of our council managed Community Centres. Alongside a Team Leader, you will play an integral role in collaborating with and empowering our diverse communities to strengthen connections and create the neighbourhoods they aspire to live in.

The positions involve engaging with the community, supporting activities and events, and providing an excellent customer experience to our community in a way that combines your local knowledge, empathy and resourcefulness.

You will work in a agile team to share your passion for the community and help make the most out of the services and spaces at the centre.

The full time position will be based at the Dianella Community Centre, Tarneit. The casual positions will be required to work across multiple locations throughout the Wyndham Municipality at various community centres.

**What your day will look like**
- You’ll create a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring the customer experience reflects the diversity of the community and is responsive to the needs of all cultures and identities.
- Assist in the development and promotion of exciting new programs and events lead by and for the Wyndham community.
- Contribute to the success of the centre through active teamwork and a focus on the experience of local residents accessing services, programs and activities.
- You’ll provide proactive support to the Neighbourhood Hubs team, other Council staff and community activity providers to promote and deliver initiatives which meet local neighbourhood priorities.

**What you will bring**
- Community focused work experience, preferably in a community centre/neighbourhood house.
- Demonstrated working experience in office administration with advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong customer service and administration skills.
- Solution focused approach to working with internal Council and external stakeholders.
- Empathy and respect for the diverse community in Wyndham.
- Initiative and the ability to work autonomously at times.
- Current valid Working with Children Check.

If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
