About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Superintendent to join our delivery team on major civil and infrastructure projects associated with Victoria’s Big Build North East Link Project This role is responsible for leading and coordinating site operations of 18 plus skilled workers across complex slipformIng concrete construction activities while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will provide team leadership to the project teams while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily on-site operations across civil and construction activities.
· Coordinate project delivery to achieve programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
· Lead and mentor the project crew.
· Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contractual obligations.
· Monitor construction progress and proactively manage risks and delays.
· Implement and enforce WHS, environmental, and quality management systems.
· Coordinate workforce planning, procurement, and site logistics.
· Liaise with project managers, clients, consultants, and local authorities.
· Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and project reporting.
· Drive a positive safety and performance culture across all project activities.
· Manage workplace arrangements and needs of the project crew. Skills & Experience
· Minimum 10+ years’ experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
· Demonstrated experience in a Superintendent or senior site leadership role.
· Experience in concrete slip forming or concrete formwork will be highly desirable
· Experience delivering major transport, rail, road, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
· Operating large machinery and advanced GPS guided surveying equipment.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced project environments.
· Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and legislation.
· Proven ability to manage concrete suppliers, subcontractors and site teams effectively.
· Proficiency in project scheduling and reporting systems. Qualifications
· Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline is desirable but not essential
· White Card (Construction Induction).
· Current driver’s licence.
· Relevant safety or project management certifications advantageous. What We Offer
