**ABOUT THE ROLE**: **Summary of the role**:
- This position encompasses a clinical caseload across a number of areas across the maternity and nursery stream (which may include inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department), clinical supervision of Grade 1 Social Workers and Social Work students as well as some programmatic responsibilities as delegated by the Manager.
- This position will form part of an integral multi-disciplnary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and felxible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising the core values of Mercy Health. This role will encourage a best practice philosophy amongst staff and will be expected to demonstrate a high level of skill.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work with a minimum of 2 years' experience and eligible for membership to the AASW
- Sound knowledge of current evidence based practices and commitment to continuing professional development and research
- Prior hospital experience is highly desirable
- Prior experience working in women and children's services is desirable
- Adaptable, creative with a passion for patient focused care

- Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services.
