Description
We are partnering with a leading Australian retail bank to recruit Customer Service Officers for a mobile branch role based out of Port Pirie , supporting additional regional branch locations . This is a casual opportunity offering with four weeks of full-time paid training, ongoing development and solid long-term career progression opportunities within banking. The important parts: Pay: $30–$38 per hour + Super | ? Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extension and/or permenancy) Location : Port Pirie and other regional branch locations Hours: Casual role with variable shifts based on branch demand. Rosters issued four weeks in advance , with occasional last-minute shifts available What you will be required to do: This is a mobile branch role , meaning you will work across a number of branches across the region as required. Flexibility and the ability to travel between branches is essential. Key responsibilities include: Delivering exceptional face-to-face customer service in branch environments Assisting customers with everyday banking enquiries and transactions Listening to customer needs and directing or referring them to appropriate banking products Supporting branch operations in small teams (often 2-person branches) Using internal systems to log daily activity and workflows Maintaining compliance with banking policies and procedures To be successful in the role you will: Proven customer service experience is essential (retail or hospitality backgrounds highly regarded) A genuine passion for helping customers ("obsession with service") Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confidence, curiosity, and an interest in learning banking products Basic technical capability and willingness to learn new systems A driver's licence and ability to travel between branches (kilometres claimable) Flexibility to work variable shifts across Monday to Saturday, based on branch requirements Prior banking experience is preferred, however full training will be provided What's on Offer Entry point into a career with a major Australian bank Long-term progression opportunities across customer service, teller, and leadership roles Strong onboarding, training, and development support Exposure to diverse communities and branch environments across South Australia Supportive and well-structured regional team environment Synergie Australia delivers a full 360o recruitment solution, consisting of temporary and permanent recruitment services , and more.
