Design Manager (South Australia)

Your next company: Our client is a large national commercial building company that has a wide spectrum of quality projects to their name. They are known for their work particularly within Education, Government, Health, Defence and Commercial areas. Your next role: They are looking to hire a Design Manager who will oversee the quality of their designs, ensuring customer satisfaction and liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders. Below are some of the tasks you will complete as part of the role:
- Oversee and approve development + building approvals.
- Oversee the design process.
- Coordinate and engage with consultants, estimators, clients, government agencies and more.
- Conduct project evaluations and feasibility studies.
- Prepare scopes of works.
- Oversee some of the early‑stage design concepts.
- Ad‑hoc tasks. Are you a fit? To be considered successful, you will have a Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management with numerous years of post‑degree design experience, a good understanding and experience with design and construct projects of $10 million or more. You will have great communication skills; experience working on Australian construction projects and the proven ability to lead and guide others effectively.
