We are a team of approximately 1,300 operational personnel and corporate professionals serving the community across 20 metropolitan and 17 regional fire stations.

About the Role

The Project Officer
- Travel, Rostering and Leave Systems supports the MFS's corporate responsibilities by providing project and analytical support across travel, rostering, leave management and employee entitlements.

Reporting to the Senior Industrial Advisor
- Travel, Rostering and Employee Entitlements, the position will support the identification, extraction, validation, reconstruction and analysis of datasets, aligned to relevant industrial instruments and SA Employment Tribunal interpretations and determinations.

Responsibilities

Support the coordination and governance of travel, rostering and employee entitlements.

Help develop and document business rules, assumptions, and audit trails.

Under direction, support the interpretation and application of relevant industrial instruments and authoritative SAET outcomes.

Analyse variances, and prepare transparent summaries, key findings, and options to support remediation and strengthen future controls.

Support improvements to processes, controls, and systems to ensure compliance, transparency and consistency.

Support meeting coordination and record keeping, including agendas, minutes and action follow-up as required.
