The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead, manage, and grow our Service department from our Adelaide office. Reporting directly to our General Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of our reactive, emergency, and planned maintenance electrical services across a diverse commercial and industrial client portfolio. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on leading field teams, driving operational performance, and building lasting client relationships — all while keeping a sharp eye on commercial outcomes. What You’ll Be Doing
• Leading and mentoring a team of service technicians, apprentices, and a scheduler to deliver outstanding results
• Driving technician utilization, first-time fix rates, and SLA compliance across all service contracts
• Owning the department — managing budgets, revenue targets, margins, and cost control
• Managing daily scheduling and dispatch to optimize resource allocation and response times
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key service clients as their primary point of contact
• Growing the service book through proactive business development, tenders, and contract renewals
• Delivering regular performance reports to senior leadership using data-driven insights
• Championing continuous improvement, including the adoption of AI and digital tools to drive efficiency
• Managing all service workflows within simPRO, ensuring accurate job costing, time tracking, and documentation
• Coordinating after-hours and emergency service rosters What We’re Looking For
• Electrical trade qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent)
• Current South Australian Electrical Licence (or equivalent with ability to obtain SA licence)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in service management or senior supervisory role within the electrical or building services industry or large facility management experience
• Proven experience managing teams of field-based technicians and apprentices
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing department budgets
• Track record in client relationship management and business development
• Experience managing service contracts with major commercial or industrial clients
• Understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements in the electrical industry Who You Are
