IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN

PERFORMANCE KPI’s

In this physical role, you’ll play a key role in the construction, operation, maintenance, repair, and development of irrigation and drainage systems across our landscape construction and grounds maintenance projects.

Install new automatic irrigation systems across our landscape construction projects on ground or in multistorey apartment/ high-rise projects to industry standards

Monitor and maintain automated irrigation systems

Perform regular irrigation system maintenance to industry standards

Diagnose faults and complete timely repairs to minimise disruption to play

Identify opportunities to optimise systems through technology upgrades and water conservation measures

Liaise with our landscape teams to communicate irrigation programming needs

Ensure compliance with current Water Guidelines for portable and recycled water usage.

Maintain safety standards by barricading work areas, displaying signage, and notifying stakeholders.

Document and report all works, faults, and issues accurately

Testing, commissioning and singing off newly installed irrigation system

Issuing Certificate of Compliance

Assist the team to undertake general duties as required

KEY JOB REQIREMENTS

As a qualified irrigation technician, you will have to comply with the below key selection criteria:

Knowledge of diverse irrigation principles, hydraulics, and electrical systems across a wide range of irrigation operating systems

Certificate in irrigation or plumbing

Current VBA Registration essential

Current drivers licence, essential

Confined space entry permit/licence, desirable

Experience with high-pressure pipes and fittings

Comprehensive understanding of irrigation systems and troubleshooting automated sprinklers

Knowledge of portable and recycled water guidelines

Knowledge of secure repair processes

Ability to identify faults, troubleshoot effectively, and implement timely solutions

Skilled in manual tasks, excavation, skid steer operation, and manual handling

Eye for detail and take pride in your work

Clear communication skills and work well in a team workplace

Understanding of work health and safety practices

Ability to perform physical requirements of manual labour & heavy lifting

Valuable written and verbal communication skill

Proficient English language command

Pay: $52,977.81
- $89,651.81 per year
