Business Development Manager – Cleaning Services Hours: Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm Type: Permanent full-time Location: Thomastown, VIC
- WFO Salary: From $100,000 plus superannuation, or commensurate to experience Borg Property Services is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in a pivotal business development role. This position is not suited to candidates without direct cleaning or services industry experience. We are specifically looking for someone who understands how cleaning services are delivered on-site, including equipment, chemicals, consumables and compliance requirements and can translate that knowledge into successful contract acquisitions. About the Role Based at our Thomastown Head Office, this role plays a key part in supporting business growth through relationship management and contract acquisition. Travel to client sites (metro and occasional regional) is required to conduct introductory meetings and walkthroughs. Also, part of the role is to estimate contracts and respond to tenders. Please note that you will be supplied with a company laptop, mobile phone and use of fleet vehicle for client site visits. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach and generate leads for new commercial cleaning clients.
- Conduct cold and warm calling and keep CRM updated.
- Conduct walkthroughs and client meetings to assess and tailor cleaning service proposals.
- Generate and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Prepare competitive pricing proposals, estimations and tender submissions.
- Negotiate contract terms and secure long-term commercial cleaning agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility managers, and other key stakeholders within our industry segments.
- Travel when require within Melbourne and interstate to develop client relationships and partnerships. The role involves significant time in developing relationships with clients, along with time spent in the office to complete proposals and tenders. This role is not a work-from-home role. You will be expected to come into the office for administrative tasks and tender submissions. About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Essential: Proven experience in the commercial cleaning industry or services industry, cold and warm calling and lead generation skills.
- Experience in business development is highly favourable.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close B2B service contracts.
- The ability to conduct walkthroughs confidently and professionally.
- High attention to detail and solid written communication skills.
- Sound time management and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel for site inspections as required. What You Need
