As a Production Supervisor, you are a leader who is willing to listen and encourage others by your actions. The Production Supervisor role involves managing production to meet timelines and maintain product quality.

**Production Supervisor
- Extrusion**

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to supervise the operating and employee activities of the Production department to achieve optimum efficiencies, meet all quality standards, scheduled production and Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.

**In this role you will be required to**:

- Supervise and co-ordinate the Production department employees to meet the production schedules.
- Maintain communication and control of the Production department over day work or shift operations if required.
- Manage the department’s operation to meet budgeted spending, labour efficiency and conversion loss standards.
- Implement corrective actions in accordance with quality standards as required and make recommendations and implement value improvement programs.
- Ensure conformance to specifications of all products and processes.
- Maintain the Quality Manuals for the department to ensure compliance to current production practices.
- Supervise the training program for the department.
- Co-ordinate maintenance resources and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Co-ordinate the routine checking and refurbishment of all of the Production department equipment.
- Coordinate the weekly production schedules in conjunction with the Planning department.
- Conduct monthly stocktakes for inventory management purposes.
- Give direction to staff on appropriate corrective action when needed.
- Supervise employees in resolving any minor employee issues that may arise.
- Report regularly to the Production Manager on all production and staff matters.
- Take appropriate actions to support the Enterprise Management System EMS requirements.

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Must be able to perform the Primary Function demonstrated by passing the First Proficiency Assessment and Annual Proficiency Assessment.
