We are seeking a Support Worker to assist a complex participant who frequently presents with physical aggression. This role requires resilience, patience, and professionalism.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
Receive comprehensive training to prepare you for the role.
Provide person-centred support that promotes independence and choice.
Assist participants with daily personal care and community access.
Manage challenging behaviours with professionalism and care.
Work under general guidance while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and participant plans to ensure protected and consistent support.
Demonstrate respect and commitment to Christian values in your work.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting participants with physical aggression (essential).
Solid interpersonal, organisational, and observation skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
A genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities to live meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
NDIS experience (highly regarded but not essential).
Qualifications in Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services (highly regarded).
Requirements:
Relevant experience (3+ years highly regarded).
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Working with Children Check (current).
Current First Aid Certificate.
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable car (preferred).
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $34.00
- $68.00 per hour
Education:
Diploma (preferred)
Experience:
Support Worker: 2 years (preferred)
