Senior Engineer (Civil) (Toowoomba)

In the role of Senior Engineer (Civil) is to work with a variety of stakeholders to contribute to the secure and efficient movement of people and freight across the State controlled Road network. Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Monitor and control heavy vehicles access onto the State-controlled Road network by applying engineering judgement to the impacts of freight on road assets and road user safety.
• Maintain data regarding limitations on freight access to the state-controlled road network and provide advice to various stakeholders on the fluctuating pressures of freight access on the road asset.
• Undertake road safety engineering investigations and consider and advise on road safety treatments in response to internal and external enquiries or road crash investigations.
• Monitor road asset performance, undertake reviews, and provide evidence-based recommendations to support efficient and effective road asset management.
• Determine, supervise and mentor on matters relating to engineering requirements.
• Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to freight access, road safety and asset performance.
