This position can be based at any of our regional locations Dalby, Chinchilla, Jandowae, Miles, Tara, or Wandoan. About the Opportunity The Finance Administration Officer provides administrative support to the Revenue team in undertaking the rates and charges function, including reconciliation activities, customer service enquiries and correspondence, and record maintenance in alignment with legislative requirements and the Finance Department’s organisational objectives. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the Revenue
- Rates and Charges Supervisor and Revenue team in accordance with Council procedures.
- Providing efficient and courteous customer service to Council's customers.
- Preparing standard correspondence and documentation (including rates searches) and responding to routine rates-related enquiries, escalating complex matters as required.
- Maintaining accurate customer, property, and financial records within Council systems. Proven/Demonstrated experience in:
- providing administrative and/ or financial support within an administrative, finance, or customer service environment;
- providing a high level of customer service to resolve issues while maintaining diplomacy, patience, tact, and sensitivity to the specific needs of customers;
- utilising a range of information systems and databases;
