About the Roles: Engineering opportunities are available across Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical disciplines, focusing on infrastructure and heavy mining equipment. Key Responsibilities & Capabilities:
- Scoping, design, management, and compliance of mechanical and structural projects within time and budget (in line with relevant site and Australian standards)
- Effective tendering, procurement, and management of project sub-contractors
- Deliver and maintain project documentation, including ensuring project close-out documentation is completed within the relevant timeframe
- Manage the application of Project Management processes within the team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather specifications and options analysis
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, resource requirements and quality criteria
- Facilitate business cases, contracting and execution strategies and prepare projects for capital budget approvals
- Ensure compliance to Engineering Standards for assigned projects
- Manage costs to budget and be accountable for regular forecasting and rectifying variances
- Provide regular and accurate project reporting and financial tracking to your supervisor
- Manage the Management of Change process for assigned projects
- Forward planning and development of pre-emptive strategies to ensure minimal downtime, unplanned shutdowns and maximise plant availability
- Completion and reporting on planned and ad-hoc safety inspections
- Providing technical support to operations and maintenance departments (including supervision assistance during shut-downs and maintenance budget planning assistance)
- Conduct quality field leadership activities including assigned and ad-hoc workplace observations and inspections
- Mentoring of junior and graduate engineers within the engineering projects team
- Maintain weekly project reporting meetings with your supervisor
- Drive continuous improvement
- Ensuring own training compliance and escalating any harassing or discriminatory behaviours as per company EEO, Discrimination and Harassment Procedures Experience & Skillset Required
- Understanding of minerals processing infrastructure
- Experience in mechanical, piping, structural or electrical design
- Demonstrated successful achievement in managing the delivery of mechanical, structural or electrical projects of a complex and multi-disciplinary engineering nature
- Experience in contract and construction management, including knowledge of the requirements of various Australian Standards related to delivery of projects
- Knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for minerals processing
- Extensive knowledge of Australian standards and general conditions for contracting, contract law, quality assurance, environmental management and workplace health and safety management
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
