Solution & Integration Architect Townsville City Council – Townsville City, QLD, AU Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight) Salary Range: LGO7 ($103,497
- $109,840 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience. Application Close: 23 March 2026. About the Role The Solution and Integration Architect is a key member of the IT Planning & Delivery Team which establishes and maintains oversight of the Council’s approach to the use of information, digital services, and associated technology, contributing to the IT Strategy which ensures compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities and technology directions. Accountable to the Chief Digital and Information Officer, this position will be focused on the needs and aspirations of the Townsville community; growing and managing customer relationships, developing a culture of customer‑centricity and personal accountability; and reshaping how we deliver services to maximise value. About You
- Demonstrated experience role modelling a positive safety culture and adherence to Health Safety Management Systems.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant Information Technology discipline and/or extensive demonstrated experience.
- Formal qualifications and/or considerable demonstrated experience in Service Management (ITIL) and Project Management.
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant industry experience with at least 5 years in a similar position.
- High level of skills and experience in developing and managing Enterprise Architecture within a large multi‑disciplinary organisation.
- Subject matter expert in ICT Technologies, specifically Business Systems and ICT Integration, and ability to apply this to an environment with complex and changing business requirements.
- Expertise in aligning and translating organisational business strategy into ICT strategy.
- Strong system design skills combined with proven delivery of emerging technology.
- Highly developed inter‑personal, verbal, written, negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Highly developed client portfolio management skills, including liaison with clients to understand their business needs. Key Responsibilities
