About the Role We’re looking for a Safety & Injury Management Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a Part‑Time, Max Term Contract, supporting the delivery of safe, healthy and compliant workplaces across BOQ Group. This is a hands‑on, operational role where you’ll partner closely with leaders and employees to provide practical advice across workplace health and safety (WHS) and injury management. Day‑to‑day, you’ll be the go‑to for WHS guidance—triaging incidents and hazards, supporting investigations, and helping teams embed protected systems of work. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving WHS processes, contributing to reporting and insights, and supporting audits and assurance activities. You’ll also take ownership of injury management and workers compensation coordination, guiding stakeholders through the full claims lifecycle and supporting early intervention and successful return‑to‑work outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical WHS advice and support to staff and leaders.
- Triage incidents and hazards, support investigations, and embed safe systems of work.
- Maintain and improve WHS processes, reporting, insights, audits and assurance activities.
- Own injury management and workers compensation coordination, guiding stakeholders through claims lifecycle and supporting early intervention and return‑to‑work outcomes. Qualifications
- Experience in a WHS and injury management advisory role, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
- Confident navigating Australian WHS legislation and workers compensation frameworks.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to influence safe behaviours and outcomes.
- Practical, solutions‑focused approach, grounded in sound judgement, especially when handling sensitive or complex cases.
- Highly organised, robust attention to detail, excellent case management and record‑keeping.
- Comfortable working across systems and reporting tools, analysing trends, providing day‑to‑day support.
