About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability on the Central Coast. Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. We are currently looking to fill 1 permanent part time position. You must be available for all shifts. Schedule Week 1 Monday 11:30pm to 09:00am Friday 2:30pm to 6pm Week 2 Tuesday 6:00am to 9:30am Thursday 6:00am to 9:30am Friday 2:30pm to 6pm Please Note: It is important to understand that our clients’ needs, and their support plans can change which also means that our roster lines may change and will be confirmed at the time of offer. Key Responsibilities
- Manual handling for wheelchair support including lifting, transferring and repositioning
- Community access support including lunch outings and social events
- Encourage family and community connection
- Daily living supports including domestic assistance and personal care
- Promote client choice and independence in all interactions Skills & Experience
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check. Benefits
