Part Time - Freight Handler (Central Coast Council)

About the opportunity We’re looking for a Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard‑working team. With e‑commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, quick. Responsibilities
- Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service.
- Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road.
- Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse.
- Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper, electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation.
- Working the hours between 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm (Monday to Friday) – 20 hours per week. Qualifications
- You’re fit and can lift at least 30 kg repeatedly – we assess this at a pre‑employment medical check to help make sure you’re safe on the job.
- You’re laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive.
- You’re a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected.
- Have full work rights (no restrictions).
- If you’ve got a forklift licence that’s a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse. Benefits
