Description:

Small racing stable requires staff member who has the following skill sets:

Able dress in a tidy, presentable and professional manner always wearing appropriate safety equipment.

Being in charge of day-to-day operations of racing secure. Directing other employees. Acting as trainer when lead trainer is absent and on race-day

Discussing with the lead race horse trainer each horse's performance and any concerns with the fitness or training of the horse after each ride

Training horses for competition under supervision of lead trainer

Ride in races as required

Exercise horses in the stable.

All daily horse husbandry practices: grooming, clipping, feeding, watering, washing etc

Assistance in the all treatment of horses. Ensuring the horses well-being and safety.

Responsible for nutritional and mineral supplementation of race horses.

Climate monitoring to determine the rug needs of each horse, putting on and taking of rugs as appropriate.

Attending races on race days and managing horses on these days.
