**About You**

As the Support Analyst, you will:

- Collaborate with a team of specialists and analysts to provide, install, and maintain Research Technology services, ensuring seamless integration into research projects and activities.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to IT support requests, incidents, and inquiries from the research community to resolve technical issues.
- Manage the installation and troubleshooting of research software, hardware, and tools.
- Assist researchers with Research Technology services and promote best practices for conducting research.
- Collaborate with researchers and teams to provide guidance, consultation, and support for multidisciplinary research collaborations.
- Ensure that Research Technology services adhere to cybersecurity requirements and continuously enhance cybersecurity controls.
- Advocate for solutions that meet the needs of researchers while aligning with the University's IT strategies and stay updated on new research IT systems and technologies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and applicable experience, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Prior experience in a Support Analyst role (or similar) within a complex IT function is preferred, particularly in a university setting, especially in research fields.
- Experience with research technologies such as High-Performance Computing (HPC), storage systems, or research administration systems is advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux and Windows systems administration, automation, IT infrastructure (servers, storage, and networking), and experience deploying and maintaining open-source software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with the research community, which varies in technical expertise.
- Strong time management abilities, with a proven capability to prioritize tasks and solve complex problems effectively.
- A proactive approach to staying informed about emerging IT technologies and best practices in research data management, enabling the offering of innovative solutions.
- A proven track record of successful collaboration within Agile teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

**Remuneration & Perks**

**Base salary range**:$81,445 to $93,173 (HEW5).

This role attracts 17% superannuation **in addition** to the base salary.

This position is **full-time** and appointment will be made on a **continuing basis**.
