**About Jumbunna**
Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research (Jumbunna) at UTS assists the University to contribute effectively to Australia’s educational and social development by making UTS staff and students aware of Indigenous Australian cultures and associated issues. It is committed to improving the quality of teaching and research at UTS by facilitating active links with the Indigenous community, higher education institutions, and other professions with particular emphasis on Australia’s growth as a multi-cultural nation.

**About You**
As the Indigenous HDR Coordinator, you will:
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning of Indigenous HDR initiatives (recruitment, support, success, completion), including preparing recommendations, submissions, and performance reports.
- Develop recruitment strategies to grow and maintain Indigenous HDR student targets both at the faculty level and on a University-wide level.
- Ensure that Indigenous HDR students have access to support services and pastoral care to maximise their potential for academic success at UTS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within UTS to contribute to decision making and academic policy development advice in relation to Indigenous Students.
- Develop and manage the UTS Indigenous HDR research profile in line with policies, regulations, and stakeholder engagement.

- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a proven record in building strong relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to work flexibly in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience in providing personal, cultural and pastoral support for Indigenous students undertaking a higher degree by research program.
- Understanding of research management in the tertiary education sector.
- Demonstrated experience in working and supporting Indigenous students.
**Role Eligibility**
Establishing your status as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person means any person who:
- is of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
- identifies as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
- is accepted as such by the community in which you live and or have lived.
**Remuneration & Benefits**
**Base Salary Range: $107,402 to $118,813 pa (HEW 7)**
This role attracts 17% superannuation **in addition** to the base salary.
UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.
This position is **full-time** and appointment will be made on a **continuing basis.**
