UTS is recruiting a Director, Strategic Portfolio to drive the coordination, governance and performance of UTS' enterprise investment portfolio across courses, research initiatives, technology, structure and processes during a time of unprecedented change. About the Opportunity As the Director, you will provide strategic leadership and direction in the planning, execution, and oversight of UTS' transformation portfolio, ensuring alignment with the university's long-term strategic and financial sustainability goals. You will oversee the delivery of integrated, high-impact programs that support the UTS 2030 Strategy, including the Operational Sustainability Initiative programs, major technology programs and other strategic initiatives. About You We are seeking a passionate and strategic leader who has substantial experience in transformation portfolio management, as well as overseeing complex programs from initiation to completion. As the successful candidate, you will also have:
- Sophisticated stakeholder management and advisory skills, providing executive leaders with insights and support for effective decision making to manage risks and ensure benefits realisation
- Executive level communication skills and strong experience in portfolio risk management
- Robust leadership skills to manage a team of managers and support staff, providing guidance, motivation, and mentorship
- Proficiency in managing portfolio financial performance, allocating resources efficiently, and optimising resource utilisation
- Deep understanding of change and schedule management at an enterprise level
- Experience in delivering investment portfolios in complex regulated sectors , with experience in the Higher Education sector well regarded but not essential
- Ideally, hold a portfolio management certification (MoP, PfMP) or similar) or program management certification (PgMP), demonstrating a deep understanding of project management principles and best practices For the full list of the selection criteria and role responsibilities please download the Position Description from the link below.
