Protective Services Officer (Tugun)

This role provides security for a safe and secure accommodation and environment for patients, staff and visitors within the Health Service. The Role An prospect has become available for several Protective Services Officers to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-robust team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will
- Report safety and security hazards or breaches to the on-duty Protective Services Supervisor
- Provide internal security services including routine and regular patrols
- Assist with emergency responses as a member of the Incident Response Team (IRT) as directed
- Issue infringement notices as appropriate About you To be successful in this position you will require:
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- While not mandatory, applicants with a current Qld Security Licence and Certificate II or III in Security Operations would be well regarded
- This position is required to work throughout the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits

- Permanent part time (several positions, 64 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $35.04
