Dental Assistant (Elanora)

About the role Join our friendly team at Complete Dental Elanora on the southern Gold Coast! We are looking for a casual or part-time Dental Assistant who can also work some days on reception when required. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our dentists and ensuring the efficient running of the practice. With a focus on patient care and customer service, your primary responsibilities will involve chairside assisting, sterilisation and general administrative duties. The position will initailly be for three days per week (25 hours) with extra hours available when other staff are on leave. What you'll be doing
- Assisting the dentist chairside during procedures, passing instruments and helping to maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Sterilising and maintaining dental equipment and instruments according to strict infection control protocols
- Welcoming and checking in patients, booking appointments and handling payment transactions
- Maintaining accurate patient records and completing other administrative tasks as required
- Ensuring the dental surgery is clean, stocked and prepared for the day's procedures What we're looking for
- Excellent communication and patient service skills, with the ability to put patients at ease
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficient in using computer programs and standard office equipment
- Commitment to ongoing career development and continuous improvement
- Dental reception experience will be highly regarded
- As we open every second Saturday morning, Saturday availability will be required on a rotating basis
- Experience is not necessary, we will train the right person for our team
