Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a **Territory Manager**in Melbourne, Australia. The position serves as sales liaison among dealers, customers and other Caterpillar personnel for rental related products and aftermarket sales within Australia, NZ and Asia Pacific region.
**What You Will Do**:
- Requires incumbent to keep current on customer/dealer market needs. Applies product and industry knowledge in support of Cat, dealer & customer expectations in both the short term and long-term horizons. Implements and delivers on global Cat rental team dealer and market strategy.
- Work independently on assignments and collaboratively within Electric Power Division. Managing own assignments and keeping up to date with new industry trends, changing technology and regulations affecting the marketplace is a requirement.
- Interacts with high-level professionals (internal & external) and must exhibit excellent communication, financial acumen, and relationship building skills, in particular with distributor principals and dealer sales managers.
- Responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.
- Requires extensive travel: 50%
**What You Have**:
- This position requires a college or university degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of knowledge in electric power industries and markets.
- Previous customer/dealer facing experience.
- Demonstrated the ability to work autonomously, communicate effectively with consultants, dealers and others in the work group.
- Technical knowledge of gensets, switchgear, uninterruptable power supply, automatic transfer switch, photovoltaic, microgrid, energy storage and/or packaging
- Strong customer focus
- Demonstrated accountability/ownership
- Act with a sense of urgency
- Highly motivated and dynamic
- Strong business acumen

- This position requires **working onsite five days a week**
