- LOCAL/DIDO/FIFO BDS Mechanical Repairs AUS Pty Ltd is looking for experienced LV Mechanics, Heavy Diesel Mechanics, and Diesel Fitters to join our expanding team. We have a range of full-time and casual positions available across local, DIDO, and FIFO operations, with flexible roster options that support a strong work–life balance. We deliver a complete range of mechanical, auto-electrical, and welding services through our fully equipped workshop network, backed by responsive in office field support. With workshop locations across Queensland and Western Australia, plus a fleet of more than 160 field service vehicles, we cover over 600,000 km² — keeping our customers’ operations running efficiently wherever the job takes us. Your duties will include:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including major and minor rebuilds
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on LVs/4x4s, trucks, and trailers
- Replace and repair vehicle engines, steering systems, transmissions, and braking components
- Experience with earthmoving equipment and mobile plant is advantageous
- Inspect and test vehicle lighting systems
- Conduct test drives to assess vehicle performance and functionality
- Maintain accurate service and repair records for all vehicles
- Follow and complete inspection procedures using established checklists The successful candidates will possess the following:
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Valid license
- Diagnostic experience
- Good communication skills
- Strong fault finding skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Extra skills, experience, tickets and licences will be advantageous What we can offer:
