Grounds Maintenance (Ulladulla)

The Role As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and presentation of landscaped gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces. Your role will involve general landscaping duties, including mowing, lawn maintenance, pruning, planting, and irrigation management, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standard. Working with the Gardens and Grounds team, you will assist in undertaking landscape construction and maintenance duties including, but not limited to:
- Lawn and grounds maintenance including brush cutting, mowing, weeding, spot spraying, pruning, garden maintenance, fencing, mulching, plant maintenance, and all other similar or related duties.
- Landscape maintenance including fertilising of trees and gardens, tree and shrub pruning and removal, spraying of pesticides and herbicides, irrigation infrastructure maintenance, mulching, and all other similar or related duties.
- General repairs and maintenance including cleaning duties associated with the property, buildings, equipment, and other assets.
- Assisting in maintaining the presentation of the precinct, ensuring all areas are clean, swept, dusted, cobwebs removed, blown, and waste removed.
- Any other ad hoc duties as directed by management. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any issues related to plant health, soil conditions, and overall landscape aesthetics. Working within a supportive team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment. What You Need To excel in this role, you should have a background in landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance, with experience in maintaining large-scale commercial or public spaces. A strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and general garden maintenance techniques is essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving, will be key to your success. A relevant qualification in horticulture, landscape construction, or landscaping will be highly regarded, though practical experience is equally valued. Other Requirements
- A qualification in landscape construction or similar will be highly regarded.
- Certification in the use of skid steer loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and tipper trucks will be highly desirable.
- Driver’s Licence is essential.
- Chemical Certificate, White Card, Asbestos Awareness, Silica Awareness, and Truck Licence are desirable.
