Couple & Family Counsellor
- Mental Health Seeking a Couple and Family Counsellor to join our Tuggerah mental health service and deliver person-centred, relationship-based support. Why this role? This is a chance to be part of a new and purpose-driven service, contributing to the development of integrated, relationship-based mental health care within an evolving Hub model. The Hub operates as a "no wrong door" entry point, enabling adults and their families to access information, support and services that strengthen psychological and physical health and social emotional wellbeing. You'll work in a person-centred, multidisciplinary environment that brings together clinical, peer, cultural and community expertise to deliver coordinated, relationship-focused care. The role sits within a shared practice framework that supports collaboration, learning and consistency of care, with service delivery supported by Grand Pacific Health, Relationships Australia NSW (RANSW) and Odyssey House. What you'll do Deliver high-quality therapy to individuals, couples and families (in-person, online and phone) Partner with clients as a Care/Wellbeing Navigator to develop and maintain shared mental health and recovery plans Conduct intake, psychosocial and risk assessments, including safety planning Provide care coordination, case management and group work and shared intake coverage Apply family systems and evidence-based frameworks, collaborate with multidisciplinary practitioners, and maintain quality documentation, supervision and professional development The details 24-month maximum term contract Full-time position Starting mid-June **** Location: Tuggerah, close to train station Approx $48 – $54 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 12 % superannuation, 17.5 % leave loading, salary packaging to reduce taxable income, and other benefits What you'll bring Qualifications in Counselling, Counselling & Psychotherapy, Relationship Counselling or Couple & Family Counselling Eligibility for PACFA, ACA (Level 3 or 4), AASW, or Psychologist registration Minimum 100 hours of clinically supervised counselling experience Experience working with couples and families within a solid family systems framework Understanding of mental health, family violence, child protection and addiction A warm, culturally secure, trauma-informed approach Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting Eligibility to undertake a National Criminal History Record Check and a Working with Children Check before employment Why work with us?
