A leading government agency is actively recruiting an accomplished **Scrum** **Master** to join their growing team based in the **Hunter Region, NSW.**

A 12 month contract role, this long term position is a great opportunity to contribute to a highly visible transformation program.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ensure **Scrum** is understood and the product/project team adheres to **Scrum** theory, practice, guidelines and increasing the scrum maturity in teams.
- Facilitate all scrum events within the team, including _Sprint_ Planning, Daily **Scrum**, _Sprint_ Review, and _Sprint_ Retrospective.
- Recommend and implement changes and adaptations during the sprint retrospectives, which improve the efficiency or effectiveness of processes and/or enhance quality of outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with **Scrum** teams, _Agile_ Coaches and other internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organisational project or product teams.
- Establish team-oriented and influential relationships with stakeholders, customers and colleagues, to ensure easy and effective achievement of team / project / business goals.
- Effectively balance competing demands.
- Contribute to creating and maintaining a constructive workplace culture.

**To be considered for this position essential requirements include**:

- Qualifications or equivalent experience in an **Agile** framework or method, such as **Scrum** and **Kanban**.
- Intermediate proficiency in **Microsoft Project** and **Visio** or equivalent.
- Understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
- Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other **Scrum** techniques.
- Proven capacities to develop and implement initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment
