Plant & Machinery Operators (Central Coast)

CENTRAL COAST, NSW Plant & Machinery Operators Full-time Plant & Machinery Operators Looking for a role packed with excellent working conditions and employee benefits? Key Responsibilities: Safe and efficient operation of plant and machinery including but not limited to: excavators, skid steers loaders, tractors and trucks on various project sites, including construction, subdivisions, mining, landscaping, and environmental restoration.
- Safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment to ensure the successful outcome of Commercial Landscaping and Revegetation Projects
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks
- Selecting and fitting the appropriate attachments for each job, such as blades, buckets or scoops
- Digging up soil, rock, dirt and other materials
- Hauling and moving materials as necessary
- Reading and interpreting plans
- Document daily activities, equipment usage, and any issues encountered
- Follow environmental regulations and guidelines to minimise impact on surrounding areas.
- Assist with other duties as required, including general labour
- Complete daily pre-start checks and monitor plant for malfunctions or defects
- Performing basic routine maintenance
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Completion and submission of all necessary company forms exclusively through the designated company software system. This includes, but is not limited to: timesheets, daily diaries, risk assessments, task observations, incident reports, and any other forms as specified by the company to ensure accuracy and efficiency in record-keeping and administrative processes. Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- White card
- Experience in either Commercial or Civil Landscape projects
- 3-5 years experience operating machinery
- Current VOC/SOA
- Physical fitness, self-motivation and ability to function in a team environment Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to complete work to high standards
- Be willing to work hard and efficiently
- Practical knowledge of work, health and safety practices and procedures,
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
