The Opportunity The purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant role is to contribute to a safe, comfortable, and welcoming setting for our residents by ensuring all designated areas within our Aged Care facilities are clean and maintained to high standards. The Housekeeping Assistant will work collaboratively with team members across the facility, fostering strong communication and teamwork to support resident satisfaction and the successful delivery of housekeeping services. Access to over 300+ gyms with the Fitness Passport Program Free access to our corporate Employee Assistance Program 14 weeks paid parental leave or 3 weeks paid partner leave Role & Responsibilities Support our Residents by cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility ensuring a high standard of cleanliness as set out in cleaning and infection control manuals Being of service and supporting the needs of our residents through interactions with residents, their family and visitors Safe handling, cleaning and usage of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Follow and complete the work schedule and duties of the shift rostered. Where required this could include: Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, as well as laundry duties Communicate effectively with all employees to ensure teamwork and achievement of role is attained. Follow all safe work practices and WHS practices. Liaise with the Cleaning Team Leader to ensure that housekeeping is timely and professionally attended to. Communicate effectively and empathically with consumers and their relatives to ensure their needs are met. Undertake all duties with the customers' expectations and needs in mind. Consult with stakeholders as relevant to the role, ensuring effective communication with the Anglican Care team and external suppliers in all aspects of service delivery. Uphold privacy and confidentiality. About you Previous housekeeping experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team. Demonstrated high level of customer service skills Current drivers licence Current NDIS Check National Police Check (the Diocese will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
