Your Opportunity

Join our team as a compassionate Disability Employment Support Worker, dedicated to empowering job seekers with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions. You'll play a pivotal role in guiding them through the job market, providing crucial workplace support for sustainable employment, and championing their journey to overcome barriers with empathy and encouragement. Make a meaningful difference in their lives by fostering independence and success in a welcoming and supportive environment..

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Demonstrate knowledge of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
- Conduct job seeker assessments to determine their existing skills and experience as well as vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment.
- Develop and record individualised Employment Plans for every eligible job seeker.
- Monitor the flow of job seekers into the service and work with Centrelink, JCA providers and National Panel of Assessor members
- Undertake meetings with job seekers to determine and agree an appropriate action plan in line with the Employment Plan.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members
- Undertake a range of job seeker marketing and promotion activities.

Requirements for Success
- Tertiary qualifications in disability, health, human resources or a related field are desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in Disability Employment Services and/or recruitment
- Strong listening and engagement skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships with job seekers, employers and other internal and external stakeholders.
- A robust commitment to customer service.
- Sound written communication skills and the ability to present information and file notes clearly and concisely.
- A sound level of computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and other operating systems.
- Demonstrated professional approach to the role including maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- A current Driver’s Licence

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
