- Climate Risk & Governance Officer Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until March **** Position Classification: Health Manager Level 2 Remuneration: Depending on qualifications Hours Per Week: 20 Requisition ID: REQ****** Application close: Monday 25th May The Climate Risk & Governance Officer supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of climate risk management and governance frameworks across the agency. The role contributes to ensuring that climate-related risks and opportunities are identified, assessed, and integrated into CCLHD's Enterprise Risk Management and governance frameworks. About The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager Corruption Prevention and Enterprise Risk Manager, this role operates with a high degree of autonomy to ensure climate-related risks are systematically identified, assessed and integrated into organisational risk and assurance processes. The position also plays a key role in building organisational readiness for NSW Government climate-related financial disclosure requirements, supporting executive oversight, strengthening governance maturity, and ensuring compliance with mandatory climate-related reporting and assurance obligations across the District. Key Responsibilities Support identification and assessment of climate-related physical, transition, and policy risks impacting government operations, assets, programs, and services. Assist with climate risk assessments across infrastructure, procurement, and service delivery. Lead negotiations with key stakeholders to secure commitment to climate-related mitigations. Governance & Policy Support the development and implementation of climate risk governance frameworks within the agency. Ensure climate risk considerations are integrated into enterprise risk management processes. Assist in developing internal policies, guidelines, and procedures related to climate risk and sustainability. Reporting & Compliance Support preparation of climate-related disclosures and reporting aligned with international frameworks including the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures recommendations. Assist in preparing sustainability or climate-related sections of annual reports and government reporting requirements. Monitor evolving climate policy, regulatory developments, and reporting requirements including those aligned with the International Sustainability Standards Board standards. Qualifications Can demonstrated ability to meet the essential criteria. Has high-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, present analysis, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Understands relevant legislation, policies and frameworks, including NSW Health policies. Has the ability to use creativity and innovation to embed new processes, policies and procedures in a practical and meaningful way. Has proven ability to influence, engage and energise multiple stakeholders to enact positive change and deliver outcomes.
