Optometrist - Victor Harbor

Position Optometrist at National Pharmacies, Victor Harbor Optical Store. Responsibilities
- Provide friendly professional service to all National Pharmacies customers.
- Conduct vision exams using knowledge of various vision testing equipment.
- Analyze results of vision tests to diagnose common eye conditions and determine the most suitable treatment.
- Educate customers and patients on general eye health best practices.
- Maintain Medicare, DVA and any other required relationships for the effective provision of optometry services.
- Carry out clerical duties to a high standard including ordering stock, filling, creating letters, data entry, Hi‑Caps entry and appointment management.
- Maintain consulting rooms and work areas to achieve greatest efficiency and convey a qualified image of the practice.
- Participate in identified training programs to develop skill set.
- Protect the confidentiality of customer and pricing information, financial records and marketing strategies of National Pharmacies. Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Optometrist.
- APHRA registration as an Optometrist.
- Effective decision‑making, problem‑solving skills and initiative.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people.
- Flexibility and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Demonstrated ability to present and act in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively handle confidential or sensitive information, issues, or situations. Roster Requirements Tuesday – Saturday week 1, Monday – Saturday (half day) week 2. Working Hours Part‑time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Benefits
