Quality and Work Health and Safety Coordinator – Community Care Are you passionate about Quality and Safety? A fantastic opportunity is available to join our team in delivering quality care in a safe and well‑maintained service environment for the clients of Star of the Sea Community Care. About the opportunity
- Part‑time position (0.4 EFT)
- Working at a strategic level within the leadership team, this position provides coordination and facilitation of clinical quality and safety, including the Aged Care Quality Standards and quality planning and improvement, as well as oversight and implementation of the WHS Program.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of a multidisciplinary team, with the ability to work independently.
- The role includes overseeing training, audits and providing reports and documentation to various internal or external bodies, including meeting any external auditor criteria. Essential Skills and Experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to be accurate, precise and detail driven
- Take an analytical and systematic approach to decision making
- Solid working knowledge of continuous improvement and the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the WHS Act and its implementation
- Experience in engaging, mentoring and training staff
- High level of computer literacy including use of database software
- Experience in policy and procedure review and legislative compliance The following experience or qualifications will be viewed favourable:
- Certificate III in Work Health and Safety
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing or acceptable equivalent
- Previous experience in conducting audits in a health care environment Must have a current Flu Vaccination, National Police Clearance and relevant referee checks before commencement.
