Full-time Civil Engineer Based in Wallaroo | Yorke Peninsula M.A Skinner Contracting Pty Ltd is a well-established local earthmoving and quarry business supplying sands and metals across the region. - Senior Leadership Access: Direct exposure to senior project leadership. Key responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and oversee day-to-day site delivery of civil construction projects
- Interpret civil drawings, specifications, and design documentation to ensure accurate and compliant construction Assist with surveying set-out, level verification, and preparation of drafting outputs, including development of design surfaces and machine control files to support construction deliveryactivities on site
- Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality records in accordance with project requirements and the company Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Prepare shop drawings for the manufacture of civil structures as required by project specifications
- Prepare quantity take-offs, procurement schedules, and monitor project budgets and costs
- Liaise with local councils, regulatory authorities, and approving bodies to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and environmental licences for civil works
- Organise and direct site activities, liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and surveyors to coordinate works and resolve technical queries
- Monitor site progress, quality control, and compliance against project programs, specifications, and contractual requirements
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including site reports, as-built records, ITPs, and quality documentation
- Ensure all site activities comply with WHS legislation, codes of practice, and company policies
- Promote a strong safety culture in office including participation in toolbox talks, hazard identification, and risk management
- Report incidents, near-misses, and hazards in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure compliance with environmental approvals, licence conditions, and site-specific requirements What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2 years work experience
- Demonstrated experience in construction supervision and site coordination
- Experience preparing Technical documentation, weekly reports, and as-built information
- Ability to interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodology
- White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) Pay: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year Benefits:
