About the Chance

Beca HunterH2O is part of Beca, one of Asia‑Pacific’s largest independent advisory, design and engineering consultancies. Beca HunterH2O focuses on water and wastewater solutions, collaborating with clients across Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Tamworth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Fiji. We seek a Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in civil (structural) engineering

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design

Knowledge of safety in design, constructability and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes

Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design related risks

Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects

A commitment to working safely, and within the company’s HSEQ systems

Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team

Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences

Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
