**About the Opportunity** An exciting opportunity exists to join our high performing Clinical ICT Operations Team! We are recruiting a temporary (12 months) full time, Application Support Officer (HSM1).

Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice system.

**What you'll be doing**
- Management of the core build for Pathology within the LIS
- Identify and resolve policy and process implications as a result of the implementation/changes in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) across multiple areas undertaking Requisition Data Entry and Pre-Analytical processing.
- Provide support the Managers responsible for undertaking Requisition Data Entry and Pre-Analytical processing to continue to maximise workflow efficiencies.
- Management of record issues including but not limited to billing and patient encounters.
- Experience as a member of a pathology end-user department and/or a solid understanding of diagnostic laboratory processes and workflows in relation to Core build (user accounts, locations, wards), Pre-Analytical workflow, and Medicare and Non-Medicare billing.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, investigate and resolve issues in liaison with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and present data for review and action using MS Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work both in a team and individually.
- Effective, effective planning and use of own time in the setting of priorities to achieve set objectives with the resources available and within set time frames, including experience in delivering to project milestones.
- Demonstrated experience in balancing complex and multiple issues whilst maintaining quality around core work.
