Description
Alfabs Group of Companies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stores & Tooling Coordinator to join our Engineering Division at Kurri Kurri. This is a rare opportunity to secure a hands‑on role that sits at the heart of our operations, supporting procurement, inventory management, and workshop/site activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our stores, tooling, and procurement processes run efficiently, safely, and in line with company procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Source quotes from suppliers and raise purchase orders for consumables, materials, and tooling
- Process procurement activities through Business Craft, ensuring accurate cost coding
- Manage supplier invoices and support accounts processing
- Facilitate internal purchase requisitions, quoting, and invoicing
- Maintain optimal stock levels using Min/Max inventory systems
- Conduct weekly stocktakes and ensure accurate data entry and reporting
- Manage vendor‑supplied inventory and storage areas
- Support material receipting into Strumis for traceability
- Take ownership of the Engineering tool store ensuring equipment is fit for purpose
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Manage Share My Toolbox system to track tool allocation and compliance
- Ensure timely return and availability of tooling and site equipment
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks, unpacking and labelling stock
- Manage project laydown areas and material storage
- Support workshop and site teams with materials and tooling requirements
- Maintain procurement and stores data systems and records
- Monitor and respond to group emails and calendars
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders
- Support the Group Procurement Manager as required
- Demonstrate a Safety‑First mindset About You We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Experienced in stores, procurement, or warehouse operations
- Comfortable using systems (ERP, inventory, or procurement software)
- A proactive problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Physically capable of handling manual tasks (loading/unloading, stock handling)
- A strong communicator who can build positive working relationships
- Forklift licence Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Experience with Business Craft, Strumis, or Share My Toolbox
