- Transgrid Pre-Apprentice Program for Women Are you curious about a career in the high‑voltage electrical industry? Transgrid’s award‑winning Pre‑Apprentice Program for Women is back! This 5‑week program is designed to give you a real taste of life as a Transmission Line Worker or Substation Electrician. You’ll train alongside highly skilled technicians, gain hands‑on experience with live work crews, and take part in nationally recognised training that provides credits towards future Electrical Supply Industry (ESI) qualifications. What’s Included?
- All training, travel, PPE and accommodation expenses covered by Transgrid.
- Interactive, practical learning experiences from hand skills and wiring tasks, to substation and power station tours.
- Exposure to real‑world electrical work environments at our depots across NSW and ACT.
- Supportive mentors and trainers to guide you every step of the way. This is your chance to explore the industry before committing to a full apprenticeship.
