Deliver the Largest Project in Doma's History — Project Development Manager, Newcastle. Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, this is a rare opportunity to play a central role in the most significant project Doma has ever undertaken. Based in the Newcastle region, you'll support the delivery of a major mixed‑use development. This role will be responsible for delivery across the full project lifecycle from planning and design through to delivery, working alongside internal teams and external consultants to keep timelines, budgets, approvals and stakeholder relationships on track. - Formal qualification in Property, Business, Construction Management, or related field
- 10 years' experience in property development and/or project management
- Experience working across commercial, mixed‑use and residential developments
- Robust project coordination and organisational skills
- Solid financial acumen with experience in feasibility analysis (Estate Master and Excel preferred)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving capability
- Commercially aware with an ability to support decision‑making
- Considerable experience with contract administration and design management Key Responsibilities – Main Duties
- Manage all phases of assigned development projects including planning, design, approvals, delivery and close‑out.
- Coordinate and manage design and project consultants including planners, architects, engineers and contractors.
- Support the preparation and ongoing management of project feasibilities, budgets and financial forecasts.
- Assist in managing planning approvals, authority submissions and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to support project strategy, leasing (if applicable), sales and marketing initiatives.
- Monitor project programs and identify risks, delays or cost impacts, escalating where required.
- Support procurement processes including consultant and contractor engagement.
- Contract administration of a project delivery agreement, review of key documentation and coordination with legal, commercial and design teams.
- Prepare regular project reporting, including monthly updates on program, cost, risks and key milestones.
- Undertake site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with design, quality and safety expectations.
- Maintain solid working relationships with key stakeholders including consultants, contractors and authorities. Key Performance Indicators
- Delivery of assigned tasks and project components in line with agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Accuracy and quality of reporting, feasibility inputs and documentation.
- Effective coordination of consultants and project stakeholders.
- Contribution to achieving project milestones and overall project outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
- Successful administration of the project delivery agreement. Other Responsibilities
- Attend relevant development, design, sales and project meetings.
- Support the Senior Development Manager and broader team in achieving project objectives.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
- Complete site visits as required across assigned projects, including the Hunter region.
- Ensure all work is delivered to a high standard of quality and professionalism.
