Sandvik Mining -Division Ground Support | Location: Heatherbrae, NSWJob Type: Full TimeAbout the OpportunitySandvik provides comprehensive mining, excavation, rock processing, and metal-cutting solutions through innovation, digitalisation, and sustainable engineering. Our offerings include advanced ground support products like MD Bolts, fast cable anchors, injection chemicals and resins, digital monitoring devices such as X-Cell Cyclops and Professor.This role joins our team focused on development of products and services within the Business Unit Global Products, and as R&D; Engineer you will participate in all steps of the development cycle
- from idea to launched products. The primary role of this position is to develop products for mining and civil industries.ResponsibilitiesManage product development projects from the start to completion, including project documentation, project reports, project updatesProduce technical designs and drawingsPrototype testing in laboratory, relevant environment and real life conditionsTest method developmentPrototype and product testing in underground workplace at customer sitesParticipate in and lead projects including planning, design, ordering and monitoring of prototypesCompilation of technical reportsAdhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policiesAbout youYou will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science or Project Management, be comfortable working in a small team, sharing knowledge and working with best practice. You will have experience and a cultivated interest in innovation, product design and project management or similar fields.You will be passionate about delivering projects and driving results, be innovative in thinking and be able to demonstrate a track record of successful project management, possess strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. You will be well organised, self-motivated and able to manage workload independently.
