Merlot Restaurant is now looking for an Executive Chef to lead, motivate and work hands on with the team ensuring consistent high quality and memorable food experience for all our guests. - Development and design seasonal menus that balance creativity and practicality and deliver high quality impressive options
- Managing food costs through effective menu engineering, stock & waste management
- Collaborate with local and trusted suppliers to source the finest ingredients
- Continue to grow you team through ongoing coaching and development
- Maintain a positive and supportive work culture within your team, and with other hotel departments
- Effectively manage the kitchen rostering and labour costs About you.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role
- Solid leadership skills, the ability to manage, mentor and motivate a small team
- A passion for quality produce and a creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine
- Relevant culinary qualifications and food safety certifications About us
